Just a game?
We thought we'd play a simple game of stick-drag. A mentor drags a stick through the forest and we follow the tracks. Well this turned out to be quite an awesome tracking adventure involving the naming of a new species, maps, using all of our senses and tons of tracking fun!!!
Gerry sends us off on our adventure with some Hemlock gum to chew and a story about a (maybe scary?) animal in the forest.
Lost for a minute. Frankie has time to name our mystery animal - a Jacksonstickbuttasaurus.
Abram has a map that he made of the area!
Cameron is on the trail.
He and Malaika engage their senses to help them find it.
They find a leaf with teeth marks (Jacksons?) and some scat (not Jacksons!)
There he is! And also Flamingo Lake (pretty sure the Flamingo is a non-native species)!
What a great adventure. I guess it's naptime. Oh wait, that's Camouflage.
