Guidebooks
As my friend Ange likes to say "guidebooks are elders". On this day we picked our species names. After jumping around and really getting our bodies into our new animal (and plant) names, it was time for the big moment. Anna pulled out a bag and said "I have something magical in here. They are elders that you can carry around" (not like Duncan - he's too heavy!) The whole group got totally into it and couldn't wait to find their species name in a guidebook. Mentors and kids drifted into groups that settled in and explored these great books.
The kids can't wait to see the books.
